never judge our paper-bridge- Day 28

My legs were still sore from the hiking but it was worthwhile though. Lesson was being pushed down to afternoon and for the first time we can fully utilized our sleep and woke up a bit later. All of us walked down slowly to the study block for our PM lesson.

Thankfully, we did an activity on paper bridge. Each group has to withstand the mass of 5 books and the length must not be short. Any group that can endure the strength of 5 thick books will win. And apparently, all of the five groups managed to endure the mass of the books.
our paper bridge can withstand one book.
Let's put the second book!
going for the 4th book! doing good!
okay the last book!!!! wow!
Our group managed to do it!!!!
See what I meant? One wallet plus one pencil case!

Personal Reflection: The paper bridge trained us how to brainstorm and bombard ideas in a group. My group came up with numerous ideas like how are we supposed to make the paper bridge. Given only limited number of paper clips and papers, we have to consider on how we can withstand the mass of five thick books in between the two tables. Each group came up with different ideas such as rolling the paper and making it like a robot type bridge. As for my group, we put suspension in the middle of the bridge so that the mass of the five thick books will balance equally.

Our group was the last one to try to withstand the mass of the books. Our hopes were dashed when all the other groups managed to withstand the mass. We feared that our idea will be terrible. Don’t judge the book by its cover. It turned out that our paper bridge managed to withstand the books as well as one heavy pencil case and a wallet. We were amazed by the result and we were very ecstatic when we saw our paper bridge works!
